Ilana Reeves earned her bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Environmental Science from Dartmouth College. She spent 10 years working in high tech as a Software Engineer and Software Engineering Manager before enrolling at MIT, where she completed her Masters Degree in Engineering and Management. Upon graduation, she joined Cambridge-based startup Cargurus, where she recruited, trained, and oversaw writers for the site.
After helping to get Cargurus site up and running, Ilana moved back to Georgia with her husband, where she transitioned back to high tech, spending the next 17 years in engineering leadership as an Architect, Senior Manager, and Director at companies such as IHG, Altisource, Cognia, and Square.
Throughout her career, Ilana worked hard to establish an outstanding reputation for building cohesive, high-functioning teams and mentoring engineers and leaders from various walks of life. After thirty years in industry, she is taking these skills, combining them with her talent for writing high-impact documents, and applying them to helping students prepare for, select, and apply to the best college for each individual.
In her spare time, Ilana has remained an active alumna for both of her schools. She has volunteered as an Admissions Ambassador for her program at MIT, and has held the roles of Alumni Interviewer, District Enrollment Director, and President of the Dartmouth Club of Georgia. Ilana also enjoys traveling with her family, playing tennis, hiking, and walking her two rescue dogs.
